The conjoined twin sisters say they’re often asked a lot of the times about how one another’s intimate lives affect the other. They added how the subject seems to be of great intrigue to others, even though they are well over it.

Lori and George Schappell claim to lead very separate lives despite being joined at the head. Today, they’re deemed to be the oldest living conjoined twins around the globe.

It’s been a struggle for them that lasted for years but George revealed how she transitioned soon and started to lead his life as a male by 2007, despite being born as a girl.  This made him and his sister be identified as the first same-gender conjoined twins to identify as separate genders.

The twins happened to be born as two people who shared the same kind of brain tissue, the frontal lobe. And at the same time, they also happened to share the same critical blood supply.

They revealed how being joined physically was really a struggle. And some times they had enough, especially when they were forced to witness one another’s intimacy with other partners.

When his sister was engaged in dates and kissing and intimacy, he would try to engage himself in actions like reading books so he did not have to see or feel what she did. And today, they claims it’s all very normal as their connected by the head and not the pelvis which would really be hard during such occasions.
