Tragic reports have confirmed the death of Alice and Ellen Kessler, who were the German twins who rose to fame in the 1950s as a variety entertainment pair.

They died at the age of 89 by joint assisted suicide, as confirmed by the advocacy organization called German Society for Humane Dying.

Local cops confirmed that there was a deployment yesterday during the lunch hours in Gruenwald, which is a known leafy suburb of Munich, where the pair had lived, but failed to speak about the reason for their deployment.

The twins had contacted the DGHS, which gives access to lawyers and doctors more than one year back, and became members, the organization mentioned to CNN on Tuesday.

‘The decisive factor here is likely linked to the desire to die together on a particular date’- the rep for DGHS shared when speaking to the press, adding how she was not aware of the precise reasons given by every woman.

During an interview with the Italian press last year, the duo mentioned how they wished to go away from this world as one on the same day. They wanted to have their ashes interred in the same urn as well, with their mother and dog.
