BREAKING: Twin Peaks Star Al Strobel Has Passed Away


Albert Michael Strobel has passed away at the age of 83 on Friday.

Also known as Al Strobel, the American actor was best known for his appearance as Philip Michael Gerard, The One-Armed Man, in the original and sequel Twin Peaks series.

Confirming the actor’s death was the Showtime series’ producer, Sabrina Sutherland, who shared: “I am sad to have to post that Al Strobel passed away last night. I loved him dearly.”

As of this writing, the cause of death and other circumstances surrounding the 83-year-old’s passing remains a mystery.

Strobel was born in Seattle back in 1939. When he was just 17, he lost his left arm in a major car crash.

In the 1970s, the aspiring actor began performing at the University of Oregon and went on to co-found the Church of the Creative.

In 1986, Strobel appeared in his debut movie, Shadow Play, along with actors Cloris Leachman and Dee Wallace.

He later also appeared in movies such as Sitting Target, Megaville, Ricochet River, Child of Darkness, Child of Light, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, and Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces.

Strobel also starred in 10 episodes of the original Twin Peaks series from 1989 to 1991. He later appeared in 9 episodes of the series’ sequel in 2017.

“Oh no… Dear Al… as those of you lucky enough to have met him over the years, what a warm and wonderful gentleman he was. RIP, friend,” Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost said in response to the sad news.

Co-star Dana Ashbrook added: “Sad, sad news…love Al. He was the sweetest of men.”
