Nurse From the World War II Era Turns 100 & Celebrates Her Milestone Birthday By Going SKYDIVING


When it comes to celebrating the 100th birthday, the last thing that would ever cross any person’s mind is skydiving.

However, for one nurse hailing from the World War II period, the milestone event was soon to be done in thrilling style and that meant embarking on a journey that she’s never been on before.

Raymonde Sullivan shocked her loved ones with her unique plans of ringing in the memorable event and when she uttered the words skydiving, most people in her surrounding assumed she was joking. After all, something like that at this age is definitely not welcomed too openly by plenty.

But for Sullivan, the sky is the limit, quite literally and that’s why she failed to stop others from talking her out of the breakthrough decision.

The brave soul from Florida made up her mind and managed to do it all, giving her another record to her name.

“I wanted to leap into the next decade of my life the right way. If that meant doing the daring, I was all up for it because it is not something that I’ve ever done”- the former World War II nurse explained.

Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Sullivan says she had done plenty of adventurous things in her life, and taking part in the battlefield was one of them. But she always felt like skydiving was a part of her bucket list for so long and since age was just a number for her, there was nothing going to come in her way.

“I treated soldiers who were wounded in the Second World War. I helped them get transported for help. And while that was a scary affair, nothing beats the fear I had from jumping out of a plane”-she explained. And now that she is looking back at her recent adventure, she’s got zero regrets.
