A federal court of appeals has given a major blow to the Trump administration after declaring the president’s tariffs illegal.
Trump was blasted for misusing his authority when he rolled out tariffs under an emergency powers statute, ruling that only Congress had the right to apply such sweeping measures.

The statement read mentioned the following: “The core Congressional power to roll out taxes, such a tariffs, is vested exclusively in the legislative branch by the Constitution”- this ruling was signed by seven judges with the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.point 240 | 1
