Former President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and her cohorts on Thursday.
In his suit, the 45th US President accused Clinton and her former associates of “weaving a false narrative” in a bid to rig the 2016 election and tie his presidential campaign to Russia.
Trump further accuses the defendants of “falsifying evidence, deceiving law enforcement, and exploiting access to highly-sensitive data sources.”
Besides former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Trump’s lawsuit names several other high-profile figures including Clinton’s indicted lawyer Michael Sussmann, former British spy Christopher Steele, and former FBI director James Comey.
Named in the suit are also agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, Biden’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, spin doctor Charles Dolan, and Clinton’s campaign manager Robbie Mook.
“In the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton and her cohorts orchestrated an unthinkable plot – one that shocks the conscience and is an affront to this nation’s democracy,” the complaint alleges.
“Acting in concert, the defendants maliciously conspired to weave a false narrative that their Republican opponent, Donald J. Trump, was colluding with a hostile foreign sovereignty.
“The actions taken in furtherance of their scheme – falsifying evidence, deceiving law enforcement, and exploiting access to highly-sensitive data sources – are so outrageous, subversive and incendiary that even the events of Watergate pale in comparison.”
The 108-page complaint seeks an unspecified amount in punitive damages and demands a trial by jury.
“In short, the defendants, blinded by political ambition, orchestrated a malicious conspiracy to disseminate patently false and injurious information about Donald J Trump and his campaign, all in the hopes of destroying his life, his political career and rigging the 2016 presidential election in favor of Hillary Clinton,” the suit concludes.point 498 | 1
“When their gambit failed, and Donald J. Trump was elected, the Defendants’ efforts continued unabated, merely shifting their focus to undermining his presidential administration.”
