Former First Lady Melania Trump is being slammed online after she reportedly admitted to having zero clue about the Capitol riots that rocked the country on January 6.
Mrs. Trump admitted the shocking findings during a recent interview with Fox, where she commented on how she was busy doing ‘other’ things and that is what diverted her attention from the scenario taking place outside.
Melania is believed to have been making decisions about her white rug while assisting with the photography for that matter at the White House. Therefore, she claims that she wasn’t bothered by anyone and carried on with her usual affair and duties at the residence.
“During that day and time, I had no idea about what was going on. I was too busy fulfilling one of my duties as the country’s First Lady of the USA. Therefore, as you can expect, I didn’t know that it was simultaneously taking place at the Capitol Building”- she mentioned during her new interview.
Many have bashed the former president’s wife for trying to stay aloof from the country’s major events, especially the insurrection that is officially marked as a black day in the country’s history.point 302 |

Melania also revealed how it was her responsibility to archive various contents of the White House and that’s why she was busy doing that. She even mentioned how all the women who had the ‘First Lady’ title were given duties as her so she was just ‘playing her part’.
But experts are criticizing Melania’s excuse. They feel she may be exaggerating a tad bit too much with her roles of ‘archiving’ the White House, instead of focusing on bigger issues like the Capitol Riots.
