Donald Trump confirms he will be arrested on Tuesday.
The country’s former head of state made the shocking confession today as he did not appear to be too worried about the ordeal.
Trump has been accused of a number of different criminal offenses and now, after years of investigations, things are not looking good for him.
After making a recent appearance at the Manhattan DA’s office, the former US President says he is prepared to be arrested for the mega allegations being put forward to him.
But now, speculations are running high about how the arrest on Tuesday is going to be related to claims that he made payments to a former adult star named Stormy Daniels.
This was done so he could keep his mouth shut about the duo’s alleged affair. But it’s interesting how the news comes after a period of six whole years. During this time, the lawyers paid her $130,000 to stay quiet. And during that time, New York prosecutors were contemplating if charges should be passed or not.
Trump denies the affair and knowledge of the payments. He was seen mentioning through his Truth Social account that the DA office in Manhattan had prepared for his arrest which would most likely take place on Tuesday.
But he referred to the probe against him as a highly corrupt ordeal that had a political background. He similarly did not shy away from mentioning that this was an old and fully debunked fairytale that he was being held responsible for.
If Donald Trump’s claims about the arrest are proven to be true, this would make him the country’s first-ever former US president to face criminal charges.
Trump’s announcement came a few hours after it was revealed that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg planned on indicting Trump in the following week.
