Matthew Perry’s fans began leaving gifts and tributes to the actor outside his home in Los Angeles.
The 54-year-old Friends star was found dead in the hot tub at his LA home on Saturday afternoon after a suspected drowning.
Now, countless celebrities and fans alike shared their best wishes to the actor while rallying outside his home to leave tributes of all kinds.
Among them was a 13-year-old fan Claudio who told DailyMail.com that Perry was his hero which is why he left him a pumpkin with a Batman carved in it.
In recent weeks, Perry continuously shared Batman-themed social media posts in which he called himself ‘Mattman’ in a reference to the rich and lonely superhero.
“I know that he liked to call himself Mattman – so I carved a bat into the pumpkin. I think it would make him happy,” Claudio said.
Dozens of other gifts and tributes were since the tragic news came out spotted outside Perry’s home. Among them were also a Batman figurine, flowers, and letters.
Speaking of his encounters with the Friends actor, young Claudio added: “He always made me laugh. He was such a nice person.
“When I first met him in the neighborhood, he introduced himself and said I’m Matthew. He was my favorite character in Friends [and] he accomplished so many of his goals. So I feel like he is happy now.”
While Claudio showed his respects for the actor with a personalized pumpkin, his older brother brought over a Funko Pop Batman figurine.
Just days before his passing, Perry shared a picture of himself enjoying his hot tub along with a cryptic caption that read: “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.”
Days earlier, the actor shared a photo of a Batman-themed Halloween pumpkin while writing: “Do you know what I mean?”
Our thoughts remain with Matthew’s loved ones during this challenging time.
