Singing superstar Madonna’s famous Celebration World Tour kickstarted in London with a bang yesterday but things didn’t quite go as planned.
The famous O2 Arena in the city had the stage set up for an event of great fun as thousands of fans turned up and were ready to have a night of their lives, all thanks to the iconic singer who is also dubbed the Queen of Pop.
She brought in both pomp as well as circumstance on stage and ended up delivering a lot of famous hits from her 40-year-plus career. And while things were going great at the start, it did not last long.
Madonna was forced to stop mid-way, after just the four-song performance, thanks to a major technical glitch that really ruined the tone and momentum that she and her dancers had set since the start.
During the hit track called Burning Up, a series of technical problems arose with the sound surfacing. And on that note, she opted to take matters into her own hands and announced how the crew needed to click on the reset button.
The pop superstar was not shy to admit that she was sorry that this took place. Moreover, she says it’s not something she or anyone would have ever hoped for on opening night and added how it was never planned.
Therefore, she apologized and the crowd cheered her own, clearly loving how humble the star was and accommodating toward them.
Moreover, she opted to entertain them with stories of her youth while the glitch was getting fixed and fans loved that. This included childhood tales that were inspiring and revolved around her being broke and not having enough cash but she never gave up hope.
She remained optimistic that things would work out in her favor and when they did, she says it was such a blessing and feeling of gratefulness that she had in her heart, and carries it with her until today.
