A Delta Airlines flight has crashed while landing at an airport in Toronto.

Horrifying images showed the plane lying upside down on the runway.

The shocking pictures show the massive passenger plane flipped with emergency crews at the scene which many called an absolute nightmare.

A spokesperson has confirmed the news and mentioned how the incident arose as the plane was landing. The flight had departed from Minneapolis and emergency crews are now busy attending to the disaster, a spokesperson for the airport has mentioned.

Paramedics have confirmed so far that eight people were injured and failed to reply to questions about the extent of injuries.

It is confirmed that it was a Delta Airlines CRJ-900 that landed at Toronto which was involved in the incident. Poor weather conditions are said to be a leading factor but no confirmations were made as the plane lies in an upside down position on the snowy runway at this moment.
