Tori Kelly has left her fans heartbroken as she was rushed to a hospital after collapsing while dining with his friends in Los Angeles.
Sources revealed to TMZ that the Grammy winner suddenly suffered a medical emergency and lost consciousness.
Doctors are treating the singer for multiple blood clots, which could be life-threatening.
The outlet reported that Tori is still in the hospital as doctors continue to break up the blood clots around her vital organs.
One source described the 30-year-old’s condition as ‘really serious.’
Insiders also told the publication that Tori was dining with her friends when her heart started to beat abnormally fast.
Moments after telling her friends about how she was feeling, she lost consciousness and was ‘out for a while.’
While it is recommended to call 911 right away, sources claimed that the singer’s friends were concerned that she would not receive proper treatment at a local downtown hospital.
Tori received treatment at the hospital’s intensive care unit, where doctors found clots in her lungs and legs. But her prognosis and condition are not clear so she was then transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Even though blood clots help the body heal by stopping bleeding, they can also block blood circulation, a condition called thrombosis.
According to the Mayo Clinic, thrombosis occurs when a blood clot develops in one of the deep veins in the body.
Clots can also travel to other organs and cause more severe problems, including a pulmonary embolism, which happens when a blood clot travels to the lungs and gets stuck.
Fans were quick to send messages of love and support, with one writing: “I really do hope Tori Kelly makes a full recovery swiftly. She’s so talented and sweet and unproblematic, she doesn’t deserve this.”
Another said: “Praying for Tori Kelly cuz that is one of the scariest things to happen to someone.”
