Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are heading toward an inevitable split after they both hired divorce lawyers following an “epic” fight.
The legendary football quarterback and the top-earning model have reportedly both hired their own lawyers to help them divide their multi-million empire as they brace for divorce after suffering an irreparable rift.
Sources previously suggested that the couple have been living apart for several weeks following a huge fight.
Now, an insider told Page Six that the footballer and the model each hired lawyers to kick off divorce proceedings 13 years after tying the knot.
“I don’t think there will be any coming back now. They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be,” one source said, Page Six reported.
While divorce papers have yet to be filed, experts have since suggested that the couple will likely go through with the process in Florida where they have recently been staying.
Furthermore, it is believed the couple now faces a potentially complicated task of dividing up their $26 million property portfolio which entitles their $17 million Indian Creek Island home, $5.7 million Yellowstone home at Michael Meldman’s exclusive resort, and luxury $3.6 million condo unit at NYC’s Tribeca.
Both A-listers also have a net worth of around $250 million each.
While the circumstances of the rift between the two lovebirds remain unclear, some reports suggested that Brady’s decision to return to his career after announcing retirement was likely the source of the couple’s dispute.
Brady previously quit his career in football while announcing plans to focus on his family and their children Vivian Lake, 9, and Benjamin Rein, 12.
“[Gisele] deserves what she needs from me as a husband, and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad,” he said.
Months later, however, Brady announced his decision to return to the NFL and restart his football career.
Though many claim this to be the reason for the rift between the couple, DailyMail.com claims they can confirm that the marital issues between Brady and Bündchen are not linked to the athlete’s return to the field.
