JUST IN: Missing TITANIC Submersible Known As Titan Is LOCKED From The Outside And There Was ‘No Way To Escape’

The news about the missing submersible that was supposed to explore the Titanic has gripped people all over the world as there has been no way to communicate with the vessel since.

The expedition operated by OceanGate suddenly stopped sending alerts to the surface less than two hours after it plunged into the water.

One of the five people on board has been identified as Hamish Harding, a British billionaire who documented the days up to the journey on his Instagram page.

CBS reporter David Pogue, who traveled in the Titan sub last year, told the BBC that people on board are sealed inside the vessel by bolts from the outside.

“There’s no way to escape, even if you rise to the surface by yourself,” he expressed. “You cannot get out of the sub without a crew on the outside letting you out.”

Pogue also said that there was still ‘no way’ to communicate with the missing sub as radio and the GPS do not work underwater.

“When the support ship is directly over the sub, they can send short text messages back and forth. Clearly, those are no longer getting a response,” he expressed.

According to the BBC, the submersible only had a 96-hour oxygen supply starting at around 6 am Sunday morning.

The submersible was overdue Sunday night about 435 miles south of St. John’s Newfoundland.

Speaking to AP, Rear Adm. John Mauger, a commander for the US Coast Guard, said that more resources would arrive.

“It is a remote area – and it is a challenge to conduct a search in that remote area. But we are deploying all available assets to make sure we can locate the craft and rescue the people on board,” he said.
