This is already the third time one of them has filed for divorce.

The couple have five children together, including Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus, but all of them are adults so a child custody battle is out of the question.

According to court documents, Tish said that she and the country singing sensation have not lived together in more than two years.

The last time they were pictured together on a red carpet was in 2019 at the Grammy Awards, and the last time they were photographed together was in 2020.

Billy Ray was also not included in their family’s Christmas photos, which was a sign to their fans that things were going rocky again between the two.

This is not the first time the couple have discussed divorce. In 2010, the singer filed for divorce but he changed his mind.

In 2013, Tish filed for divorce but she also took it back after a few months.

Billy Ray and Tish were in their 20s when they tied the knot in 1993. The country music singer then made 16 studio albums with 53 singles.

His biggest hit was the catchy 1992 Achy Breaky Heart.

Together they have five children: Miley, 29, Noah, 22, Braison, 27, Brandi, 34, and Tace, 33.

When he joined his daughter Miley on the Disney show Hannah Montana, which was on the air from 2006 to 2011, she quickly became a star, eclipsing her father.

Tish previously said that marriage can be difficult. “I do think that marriage is hard work,” she expressed. “And I think a lot of people, when you go through struggles and difficult times, that people throw in the towel a little too easy.

“And I think that any relationship — whether it’s marriage or family, it doesn’t matter — it’s you truly do have to take care of it and nurture and really work hard at relationships. And that’s not always easy, especially in the business that we’re in. So I think it’s a lot just dedication and communication, which I’m not very good at.”
