A teen remains in the ICU after suffering from serious injuries in a freak diving accident at Hampton Beach.

The incident arose during the afternoon hours in New Hampshire where the victim was identified as 19 year old Aiden Sloan who happened to be playing with his cousins in an attempt to beat the heat.

The Fire Chief shared how he was diving into the water into the waves and had done it a thousand times, but it turned out to be way shallower than what he had anticipated.

Sloan’s mother, Melina Burton, mentioned how her life has turned upside down after her son’s freak injury that has left him battling for his life in the ICU.

‘They were diving into the waves like regular kids do’- she cried. But there was a sandbar that nobody was aware of that happened to be there. So he dove through a wave and slammed into the sandbar head-on, causing catastrophic injuries.

Burton mentioned how Sloan’s cousins also witnessed something that went terribly wrong and dragged him towards the beach, where they realized that he was not breathing. Now the mother is sharing more details on how she wants others to be aware of how dangerous the situation can be.
