A man from Massachusetts has been charged with murder after he fatally stabbed his pregnant girlfriend and then chose to bury her remains in his grandmother’s backyard.
The grisly killing incident is something she had predicted, as per insiders, as she shared a chilling final text to her loved ones.
Gregory Groom was arraigned in Taunton District Court on Wednesday, just one day after the remains of the 18-year-old were found behind a shed on the Rehoboth property where he resides with his grandparents.
Monteiro was 11 weeks pregnant when she was last heard from by her loved ones on August 7. This is the same day that her sister sent out an alarming text message stating that the Groom had attacked her. ‘He threw me on the ground and pulled out my hair and strangled me’- she shared.
She also told her parents that her battery on the phone was only 4% and this might be the last time that she speaks to them.
The parents got worried and started to rush, but it was just too late. Prosecutors alleged that Groom confessed to the stabbing of his lover using a kitchen knife and then chose to drag her body to the woods and bury her five feet underground.
