Former Vice President Kamala Harris claims Joe Biden and his inner circle behaved in a reckless manner and enabled her to take the fall for the disastrous border crisis.
If that’s not all, she slammed them for throwing her under the bus when her popularity started to outgrow his.
In a shocking and scathing excerpt of the upcoming new book ‘107 Days’, Harris says she was tasked with overseeing the immigration crisis weeks after taking office.
This suggested Biden’s team added fuel to the growing negative narratives that were being put in her direction by critics at the time.
‘When Republicans mischaracterized my role as border czar, no one in the White House comms team helped me to effectively push back and explain what I had really been tasked to do, nor to highlight any of the progress I had achieved during that time’- she mentioned in the latest excerpt attained by The Atlantic on Wednesday ahead of the book’s publication on September 23.
‘Instead, I shouldered the blame for the porous border, an issue that had proved intractable for Democratic and Republican administrations alike’- Harris added. She concluded by mentioning how no one around the President advocated, adding how she needed something at the start that she could win with.
