New details about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s first major fight have emerged.
After the Kansas City Chiefs’ loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day, Kelce appeared grim-faced as he was pictured leaving his team’s hotel while reports of him snapping at his girlfriend began circulating the internet.
According to Life & Style, the NFL tight end “snapped” at the Bad Blood hitmaker after getting into a really bad mood over the Chief’s defeat.
“The game pretty much ruined Taylor and Travis’ holidays. Travis wasn’t himself for days after. He snapped at Taylor and they had their first fight. He apologized after but Taylor definitely felt hurt and confused. It was rough,” an insider claimed.
“Brittany told Taylor to let Travis lick his wounds, but it wasn’t easy. The idea of Travis losing again and having it ruin their New Year’s was so stressful,” the source added while insisting Taylor was a “nervous wreck” after her first major fight with her boyfriend of five months.
While Travis and Taylor were spotted sharing a kiss on New Year’s Eve, rumors say the singer was thinking about cutting the holidays short ahead of the Chiefs’ game on January 1.
An insider also explained that the fight wasn’t the only hiccup the couple had encountered. Perhaps even more worrying are the pair’s work commitments and struggles to make time to grow their relationship.
“Over the holiday, all Travis wanted to do was focus on football. She had to take a backseat which was really tough. When it comes down to it, the game is still his No. 1 priority and that became crystal clear for Taylor,” the insider continued.
“Things get heated between them at times over scheduling because they’re both so incredibly busy and they’re both so dedicated to their careers. As much as Taylor can be a fool for love, she never lets her work suffer.”
