Taylor Swift is reportedly facing thousands of dollars in fines over 32 violations related to the sanitation issues outside her New York City home.
The beloved 33-year-old singer is said to have racked up a string of tickets for infractions outside her property on Franklin Street, Tribeca.
The Manhattan neighborhood is known to be home to many millionaires including Swift who bought her townhouse for $18 million back in 2017.
According to the sources with knowledge on the matter, the ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness outside her home including the public sidewalk.
The sidewalk, however, was said to be flooded with garbage such as napkins and ashtray contents on numerous occasions.
Swift has since racked up 32 infractions for “failing to clean the area in front of her building, having a dirty sidewalk, and improperly disposing of garbage.”
“She doesn’t care about leaving trash out, [she’s more focused] on her multi-million dollar tour,” one dog walker in the area told the media.
After the news went viral, some fans of the singer quickly suggested they were left “disgusted” and “shocked” by the claims.
Others, however, ran to Taylor’s defense saying the trash probably isn’t even hers while insisting she shouldn’t be responsible for cleaning after her fans and paparazzi.
“It’s probably the fans waiting for her and smoking while they’re bored. She doesn’t even smoke!” someone said.
“I’m positive the trash doesn’t even belong to her. She shouldn’t be held responsible for not cleaning after other people,” another fumed.
One fan wrote: “That can’t be her garbage for sure, she’s rich and has enough helpers to take care of that.”
The news comes shortly after Swift’s Cincinnati concert over the weekend.
“Cincinnati I couldn’t love you more. Had the best two nights with you!!” the singer wrote in her post after delivering a powerful performance.
“See you soon Kansas City, meanwhile I’ll be counting down the minutes til Speak Now (my version) comes out July 7th WHICH IS VERY SOON.”
The weekend festivities were part of Swift’s Eras Tour which will see two more shows at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on July 7 and 8.
