Taylor Swift has been engaged to her long-term boyfriend for several months, it was revealed.
According to The Sun, the 32-year-old pop singer got “secretly” engaged to Joe Alwyn a few months ago after dating the young man for nearly five years.
While the couple, who remain very private when it comes to their relationship, have yet to announce the good news, sources close to the pair allegedly revealed the singer is promised to the 31-year-old Conversations With Friends star.
“Taylor and Joe are incredibly happy, and very, very in love,” a source told the publication.
“They’ve actually been engaged for a few months but have only told their inner-inner circle — basically immediate family, and trusted, very old friends. Everyone has been sworn to secrecy, too.”
The insider further revealed that Taylor wears her engagement ring “behind closed doors.”
“Taylor has a beautiful ring but she only wears it when she’s at home — behind closed doors,” they added. “Again, only a handful of people know details about the wedding and Taylor hasn’t even told some of her team about the engagement.”
As the source insisted the young couple intends to avoid cameras and the limelight as much as possible because they want their engagement to be “just for them.”
The insider also suggested their wedding will be “simple and elegant” saying “there most definitely won’t be any Vogue, Rolling Stone or Hello! magazines there.”
The good news comes five years after Alwyn and Swift became an item following a series of failed relationships the singer had with other Brits.
Taylor, who hasn’t toured since 2019, is now apparently over the moon about her love life and appears to be ready to settle down while dividing her time between her rented home in London and her family home in Nashville.
“Joe has been an absolute rock over these past couple of years,” a source said.
“He’s obviously met Taylor’s family, and Andrea loves him. Similarly, Joe’s parents adore Taylor — she actually helped decorate his little brother’s bedroom.”
