A Japan Airlines jet ended up slicking the tail off of a Delta plane during a harrowing collision incident that took center stage at the Seattle airport during the morning hours of Wednesday.
According to reports from local media outlets, the taxiing Japan Airlines plane that arrived from Tokyo struck the tail of the parked Delta Plane at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport during the morning hours of 10:17 am. Both of these planes were full of passengers.
Terrified passengers were located between the S Concourse and the south maintenance hangers. They grew astonished at how such a major incident was allowed to happen by such an advanced aircraft and experienced pilot.
The wing was seen embedded into the tail from the outside of their windows.
So far, no injuries were reported and there was said to be minimal impact to operations at the airport. Shocking images were shared online with footage of the incident with bystanders in shock at what was going on before their eyes.
One witness called it so scary while dubbed the matter concerning the world of aviation, wondering what is going on since the start of the new year.
The news comes just days after the harrowing collision between a black Hawk helicopter that was flying too high and hence colliding with an American Airlines passenger plane.
