President Trump has threatened to sue ABC over Jimmy Kimmel’s sudden return to air after insisting the network should have let the embattled late-night host rot after his inflammatory Charlie Kirk comments took center stage on air.
Trump taunted the network and asked them to do better, adding that possible legal action would be taken on this behavior.
This comes just as a very defiant Kimmel fronted his audience on Tuesday night, nearly one week after his show got yanked.
‘He is yet to another arm of the DNC, and to the best of my knowledge, that would be a serious illegal Campaign Contribution. I think that we are going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do!’- Trump said on Truth Social.
‘Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 million. This one sounds like it’s even more lucrative. They are a true bunch of losers! Let Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad ratings!’- he shared.
Trump slammed the network and the ABC host George Stephanopoulos with a defamation lawsuit in early 2024. ABC News later agreed to the $15 million settlement. Elsewhere, the president blasted ABC’s decision to reinstate Kimmel, despite the lefty host sparking widespread outrage for claiming that Kirk’s alleged assassin was likely affiliated with the MAGA movement.
