A pilot known for his daring stunts has been identified as the owner of the helicopter that crashed in Southern California, which injured five people.
As per local news outlets, the pilot of the helicopter that crashed in Huntington Beach on Saturday was named Eric Nixon. He was professional in all aspects. Right now, he’s at the hospital with broken ribs, crushed vertebrae, and several bruises, the media shared.
Officials have yet to verify Nixon as the pilot in this incident but a recent post shared to Instagram appeared to confirm the claims.
The post read how the pilot and passenger are safe and being transported to a medical facility to get it checkd out. Nixon is said to have built a great reputation on social media for being so brave and daring at all times. Some of the clips shared through social media had him performing all kinds of stunts in helicopters including low level sprints, sharp turns, and risky manuevers while being in the air.
Just after 2 pm local time, the helicopter involved in the crash was seen getting wedged between a tree and a building near the Twin Dolphins Drive and Beach Boulevard.
