BREAKING: Family’s Heartbreak As 10-Year-Old Boy Struck By Lightning While Swimming At A Popular Beach


Tragic reports coming in from Australia have confirmed how a young boy was struck by lightning while swimming at a popular beach.

The 10-year-old was covered with burns that he received on his chest as paramedics rushed him to a nearby medical facility.

Sources from local media outlets were quick to speak about how the terrifying ordeal took place at Wollongong Beach while he was swimming. He was terribly hit by a major lightning strike.

Thankfully, he was rushed by paramedics on time and was given appropriate first aid. Now, he is currently being treated at a nearby medical facility.

The fact that the incident took place on Australia Day just made it so much more heartbreaking for everyone. This exact location was identified to be Barrack Point that’s seen near Shellharbour in New South Wales.

Witnesses present at the scene say they just saw a huge thunderbolt hit the waves. And they feared the worst. That is why calls were made for those present inside to come out but little did anyone know that a young teen was swimming carefree, only to be given a second chance at life.

The news of the incident comes amid plenty of nasty forecasts for the storm as it suddenly came rolling in across the western part of NSW and that too on a public holiday.

This was right after the mercury hit the 33-degree mark and that resulted in much of the nation suffering from sweltering heated conditions.

But weather experts spoke about how three more severe storm cells were making their way across the nation by moving toward the eastern direction.

Another State Emergency Service warning has been issued since then and citizens were advised to steer clear of beaches and take as many precautions as possible.
