A mother to be is sharing more about how she will no longer be accepting any baby gifts from her mother-in-law after the woman continued to spell the child’s name incorrectly.
In a post that was shared across Reddit recently, the anonymous 25-year-old can be seen writing more about how she’s pregnant at the moment with her first child after trying for three years.
At her recent baby shower, she requested that guests bring out a book signed to the child.
‘My mother-in-law is a card person and has already sent us cards regarding the new baby months before the baby shower, which we thought was a very nice gesture. We thanked her for that so much’- she shared in the post. ‘But we did notice she spelt our baby’s name wrong in every single card and even in all the texts regarding her’- the post went on to mention.
The post further read: ‘We are naming our daughter Daphne.
She keeps spelling it as Daphane!’ It was clear by now that she’s just so tired of correcting her over and over again and does think she might be doing it on purpose. This is why she’s now refused to speak to her and accept her gifts.
Do you think that’s a reasonable reaction or not?
