JUST IN: Calls For The Legendary Rosetta Stone To Be Returned Back To Egypt Reaches Record Breaking Figures


There are plenty of calls coming forward for Egypt’s famous rock called the Rosetta Stone to be returned back to the country.

Many felt the time had come to raise their voices and speak on the matter because it’s been a huge concern for a very long time!

Egypt is leading the campaign where a team of academics says they’ve had enough of the waiting game and feel they need to raise their voices now or never. They go by the name Repatriate Rashid.

According to them, the United Kingdom stole the rock and took it upon itself as one of its own. But now, the campaign has picked up the pace, and calls for the return of the stone that was taken illegally have reached some record-breaking figures.

“History can’t be changed but it can be corrected”- mentioned the team’s lead and now, he feels it’s time people understood the history behind the matter.

Another was seen stating that so many people aren’t even aware of the background story and that’s sad. “It’s a precious stone and we need to do something about it soon!”- he went on to explain.

The giant stone can be found in the famous British museum and is considered to be a huge artifact. It was designed to help so many people better understand how to translate hieroglyphics into several modern-day languages.

But when the British forces defeated Napoleon in the year 1801, they also took with them this stone from France to England. And since then in 1802, it has been staying there and is on constant display.

Many people who are actively taking part in this campaign feel the time has come for the UK to demonstrate a great sense of moral leadership. And that can be right done through this means.
