Prince Harry believes that the memory of Princess Diana was being used as a stick to beat his wife with during her gaffe-laden trip to France last week.
The Duchess of Sussex was called out when viral images of her putting her feet up during a car ride near Princess Diana’s car crash site were shared online.
The Duke of Sussex was left hurt and upset after his wife got serious criticism that he says was never intentional, and called it a moment where she was simply relaxing and stretching her feet out in the back of the limo close to the Pont d’Alma tunnel, where Diana died in 1997.
The footage was slammed as utterly bewildering and very insensitive beyond belief and ensured her 48 hour PR blitz during Paris Fashion Week including an appearance on the front row of the Balenciaga show in support of designer Pierpaolo Piccioli, was marred by mega controversy.
It’s believed that the Duchess was not aware of the car’s location, with friends mentioning that it was hell of a stretch to suggest that she went past the tunnel on purpose.
And Harry, who has yet to speak publicly about this row, mentioned that he was left despondent but not surprised by the huge amount of criticism his wife faced.
