Hollywood celebs were seen rushing to defend Jimmy Kimmel after he was indefinitely removed from the air because of his comments about the Charlie Kirk assassination.
ABC shared how they would not be airing Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the foreseeable future, a spokesperson shared on Wednesday. The talk show host made the very controversial statements about Kirk on Monday, following his assassination last week at Utah Valley University, and that was where he mentioned during his monologue that the MAGA gang was working to gain political acceptance over Kirk’s murder.
The suspected shooter, Tyler Robinson, was taken into custody and appeared in court on Tuesday on several different charges, including the likes of aggravated murder.
Kimmel insinuated at the time that Robinson was conservative, despite investigators sharing that he has a far-left ideology and was also in a romantic relationship with his trans roommate. He also mentioned how the MAGA gang was desperately trying to characterize the child who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they could to score political points from it.
Kimmel also didn’t spare the president as he was seen taking a jab at Trump, sarcastically remarking how hard the president is taking this, right before showing clips of him deflecting and talking about the White House’s ballroom construction when a reporter offered condolences for the loss of his friend.
