Liam Payne’s long-term friend has filed a lawsuit of defamation against the late singer’s father.
Business tycoon Roger Nores slapped the celeb’s dad with the case on Thursday speaking more about how he tried to damage his reputation and blame his son’s death on him.
The 35-year-old billionaire was accused of supplying the late singer with drugs and also of having full responsibility for him before he plunged to his death from a hotel room balcony.
Roger Nores is currently facing manslaughter charges but he says he is innocent and Liam’s dad is trying to smear his name with lies since the star’s death last October.
Nores further went on to argue about how he was a loyal friend to Liam but never agreed to take on the role of being his caretaker.
He also denied all the allegations linked to him supplying the late star with recreational drugs and any kind of controlled prescribed medications. This was right before his fatal fall.
Nores and a few others were charged with manslaughter and drug charges last month when authorities in Argentina accused them of knowing Payne was intoxicated. Yet, they chose to lock him in his hotel room which was a risky move and ended up leading to his tragic fall to his death.
