General Hospital star Denise Alexander won the hearts of millions of soap opera fans throughout the world for her brilliant acting skills.
Now, news of her tragic death at the age of 85 has left the entertainment industry in mourning.
Denise Alexander made a huge name for herself as Dr. Lesley Webber, who starred on General Hospital full-time between 1973 to 1984.
This then occurred between 1996 to 2009 and made some sporadic guest appearances as early as 2021.
During the start of her career, she was still attending UCLA, and that’s when she got a giant break on television with another legendary soap, Days of Our Lives.
Between stints on General Hospital, she enjoyed a three-year run on Another World as the main character, Denise McKinno,n from 1986 to 1989.
While the news of her death only broke this Friday, the star, who was born in New York City, actually passed away on March 5, and no cause of death was publicly announced through Variety, which was the first to break the news.
The showrunner for the soap opera General Hospital, Frank Valenti, made the death public. He published a glowing testimonial hailing the barriers that she broke.
