60 Russian paratroopers have reportedly staged a mutiny in Ukraine and have refused to follow Putin’s orders to fight.
According to local reports, the paratroopers who hail from Pskov were reportedly sent back to a base in Belarus in absolute disgrace as they wouldn’t follow through with their leader’s commands.
The soldiers had been sent out as a part of the might force to carry out a huge offensive attack in Ukraine but things again didn’t go according to Putin’s plans.
Those paratroopers will now face jail while others were dismissed from the army immediately for behaving as cowards, as outlined by the Russians.
“The men had traveled from Pskov, which is located in the northern part of Russia. Now, they are in danger of facing jail and great punishment for disobeying all the commands”- mentioned one spokesperson from Ukraine.
At the start, these troops were moved towards Belarus but had no choice but to return back to where they came from after having cold feet.
Russia is believed to be beyond outraged over the incident, as the troops were called out. To help handle the situation, the country’s defense minister sent one of his leading deputies to handle the situation better.
Ukraine says the troops were huge paratroopers belonging to the country’s elite force, but Russia is yet to confirm the news.
Meanwhile, Russia’s leading opposition party has stated how around 60 servicemen failed to obey their generals’ commands and will now have to face being sacked or jail, as a result of their behavior.
“After the war had initially started, they were all brought forward to the Republic of Belarus and will now have to return back to the Pskov base”- it elaborated.
