Mama June’s daughter has been diagnosed with stage four cancer, shocking fans and followers of the celeb.
Sources from local media outlets confirmed how she had been diagnosed with the condition which was deemed to be a rare form of adrenal carcinoma.
28-year-old Chickadee’s cancer has been reported to spread to her vital organs and is now taking a toll on her liver, kidney, and lung.
Sources have also spoken about how this form of cancer is reported to be one of the most aggressive kinds. And that is what makes this entire ordeal all the more tragic.
Chickadee whose real name is Anna Caldwell reportedly visited the doctor’s office in January of this year. And that’s when she reported suffering from a series of symptoms.
But the family mentioned how they were not prepared for the devasting and alarming diagnosis that came their way. This was serious cancer and it had already spread to some of the body’s most vital organs.
Before being tested, she had started to complain of stomach pains, Mama June explained while wiping tears away from her face. But this was not anything that had to cross their minds.
Sources revealed how this form of cancer is relatively rare. It is known to affect around 200 Americans each year. And the fact that she is one of them just makes this all the more tragic.
The youngster had her first round of chemotherapy last month. And due to that, she lost a significant amount of hair.
The family says they are very hopeful that she will overcome the disease, no matter how painful of a struggle it turns out to be.
But doctors are taking things slow and one day at a time. They are trying to see her response to the therapy and will then make decisions accordingly,
