The prequel trailer of John Wick is out and it’s safe to say it’s not quite generating the kind of response that directors had hoped for.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to mention how the famous movie is getting negative publicity as fans sparked outrage when they saw Mel Gibson take center stage.
It can be said without any doubt that many fans were super excited that the franchise was returning as many assumed that perhaps the last one was the last one. But a new trailer proved them wrong.
Unfortunately, the scenes depicted fell short of what people had anticipated completely. And that had to do with the fact that Meg Gibson held a leading role. The latter is certainly not a favorite of many, especially after the striking allegations arose against him out of nowhere.
Others added how Gibson was not the right influence, thanks to his past record that includes drunk driving from 2006 in Malibu to a wide range of anti-Semitic remarks toward a cop.
They added how he certainly never set up the right example and that just goes to show how he’s not serious about his fans who have been watching and adoring and looking up to him for so many years.
If that was not enough, the industry actually blacklisted him after an investigation against him began. But after nothing could be proven enough to call him guilty, he was again nominated but fans were not happy.
They felt he did not deserve this much praise and accolade for his behavior which they felt was uncalled for.
Hence, you can only imagine how they felt after hearing this news about him getting cast here. Most people called it a hard pass while others felt that even if they were paid to watch this, they wouldn’t do it. Yikes, we’re sure this is not what the production had hoped for.
