The controversy surrounding brands and leading trans activist Dylan Mulvaney continues as the latest company to come under fire for a partnership is none other than Nike.
Women were seen posting shocking content on the leading social media app of TikTok where they were setting their sports bras on fire after hearing about the firm’s marketing partnership with Mulvaney.
It was just hours since we saw leading beverage-producing company Bud Light lose billions for establishing a new partnership with Mulvaney which fans didn’t appreciate one bit. Hence, they opted to boycott the company which made a huge hole in terms of its revenue-generating abilities.
Now, Nike might be facing the same turmoil as women are busy burning their athleisure and just aren’t happy with the news of the activist wearing its products that it has partnered up with.
The incident has resulted in a chain of images featuring women of all kinds taking part in a challenge begun by one female which is called Burn Bra Challenge on TikTok. And it was not long before we saw people taking part happily.
Viral images of Mulvaney taking part in her workout while donning the brand’s products took social media by storm. They were posted across her Instagram page this morning which led to widespread controversy.
Mulvaney’s posts were a paid partnership campaign so it’s quite evident that Nike and the activist are together and it was only time before the world knew about the ordeal.
Mulvaney can be seen donning black tights and a white sports bra while working out in her home. The hashtags team Nike are very evident as she mentions, ‘Alert the media because I am entering my workout era’.
