Meryl Streep has gone public and confirmed that she is no longer in a relationship with her husband Don Gummer.

 

The pair who were married for 45 years are no longer living together but are yet to be divorced. But the matter got awfully interesting when it was mentioned how the news is not something new. 

In fact, the split took place six years ago and since then, the duo have opted to lead lives that were separate from one another. 

Streep did mention how the duo still care for one another so much and hope to ensure things stay in that manner because the love and friendship of 45 years is just too much to throw away. 

Fans were quick to comment on the celeb’s post, asking the reason why and how they managed to keep it a secret for so long without anyone having a hint or clue about it. 

Don Gummer and Streep are said to be very content with the decision that was taken on a joint discussion and agreement on how they were better off without one another and therefore would enjoy leading separate lives. 

While the news is shocking for some fans who saw them acting like any other regular couple at countless Red Carpet events, People magazine was quick to mention how the actress chose to stay hush and never even removed her wedding band at this year’s recently held Princesa de Asturias Awards in the country of Spain recently. 

Meanwhile, insider reports did confirm how the duo were last seen together in the year 2018 and since then, they’ve not really been pictured by each other’s side.
