US President Donald Trump received a shocking interruption recently when he was speaking to Israel’s Knesset after Hamas agreed to release all hostages today.
The sudden and dramatic interruption by screaming hecklers had many in the leadership stunned as the heckler not only disturbed the President’s moment of glory but also was seen making his way towards the American head of state.
Trump’s remarks had a brief stop of pause when two members of the parliament staged a protest and were forcibly removed from the chamber.
Ofer Kassif and Aymen Odeh were believed to be members of the joint Hadash-Taal party who were involved in this act. As they were being taken out of the room, other members chanted, ‘Trump! Trump! Trump!’ One of the members is said to have held a small sign stating “Genocide” and “Recognize Palestine” as words typed on a piece of paper.
The President commended the response of the parliament and told the chamber, “That was very efficient,” and that resulted in a lot of laughter and applause from those assembled.
The news comes as Trump declared the end of the war and stated this would be a new dawn for the Middle East as he makes his way to the peace summit in Egypt where he would be meeting world leaders.
