A Disney cruise passenger who happened to be on board the Disney Dream cruise ship was seen describing the horror that she witnessed during her trip.
This includes a really loud sound as if someone had struck the pavement. To her shock, she saw a little girl fall overboard, and she couldn’t believe her eyes.
Soon after that, her father jumped right in to save her, causing a swift emergency to take center stage on the journey.
The incident arose on Sunday when the four-night cruise happened to be returning to Fort Lauderdale after visiting Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point island destination.
There was some kind of commotion, and that’s when one person, who was identified by their first name, told PEOPLE about the incident.
There was an awful scream from what they assumed to be the mother, and then a massive splash took center stage.
‘It sounded as if something slammed into the pavement, nothing like if you jump into the pool, it was so loud’- the person mentioned.
She called the moment harrowing and says the ship was traveling between Grand Bahama Island and Nassau at the time.
Thankfully, the duo was rescued as the coast guard was informed about the matter, and that led to a swift evacuation response.
Investigations are now taking center stage to determine what exactly went wrong and how the safety could be improved to prevent such incidents from arising in the future.
