Tragic reports are speaking about an incident on a rural property near Murgon in Australia where a 11-year-old child named Tristian James Frahm passed away in November of 2021.
This is right after he was bitten by an eastern brown snake. The day before his death, Tristian fell off a ride on a mower while wearing no shoes or socks and likely ended up suffering from a snakebite.
A stepbrother reported this incident to athe dults on site. He soon became dazed and vomited and started to complain to his father about pain and nausea. The adults present assumed he was intoxicated and had consumed alcohol ,and didn’t seek medical attention for him.
The father and two other adults checked for some obvious bite marks but found none, then sent Tristian to bed to sleep it off.
An autopsy revealed no alcohol in Tristian’s system, but two faint marks were found on his right ankle that were consistent with a snakebite, sources shared. The coroner’s office determined the cause of death to be a rare complication from brown snake venom and massive internal bleeding from venom-induced coagulopathy.
This case underscores the importance of proper first-aid and fast hospital care for suspected snakebites, especially those seen in rural settings.
