HBO’s Real Time host Bill Maher is ripping into the woke mob for blasting Sydney Sweeney’s ad.
He felt it was ridiculous for them to label her as a nazi because she joked about having great jeans in the latest American Eagle ad.
The late-night host shared more details about how it was uncomfortable and more racially charged news than anything else. He also cleared the air about how she’s not a Nazi and nothing people say or do would change that.
‘She’s dressed like Jay Leno in all blue denim. She is talking about the fact that she has blue eyes and great jeans because she is wearing jeans’- he continued.
This was clear that he wanted to clear the air about the misunderstanding that jeans meant clothing and not her physical characteristics.
The ad’s pun on the term genes was taken in the wrong context, and people assumed that it called her out for having blue eyes and blonde hair. But he didn’t stop there.
