A woman went viral for stating that she was sandwiched between two obese passengers on her recent American Airlines flight.
The passenger named Sydney Watson revealed how she was an Australian-American and a frequent flyer aboard the airline. But little did she know that it wouldn’t make any difference because the response she received from the airlines blew her mind.
Sydney’s public tweet on Twitter really startled many people who felt it was the evilest and most horrifying thing to state, not to mention the worst form of body shaming imaginable. But the passenger disagreed.
She claims that she was paying for a great flying experience and not for others to invade her personal space and comfort during the flight that lasted for three hours. And the response generated by American Airlines was the same.
Their statement was applauded as they chose to take a stance on the matter and speak words that really showed how inclusive of an airline it was and failed to discriminate against all others.
“This is what you get for thinking you’re way above all others. Thank you American Airlines for making us all proud”- added one Twitter user and just like that, the comments kept on coming in.
In case you may have missed it, the woman said she almost suffocated and found it incredibly hard to pass her time on the flight because she was wedged between both obese people. “It’s you and your arm rolls that cover my body completely. Can you please tell me why I have to deal with this American Airlines!”
“Our passengers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. We do not discriminate against anyone out there. But we are sorry for the way you were uncomfortable”-the statement revealed.
