The legal team of Johnny Depp is making the rounds on various local media channels and they’ve got plenty to say about the explosive and high profile Hollywood trial that had so many people glued to their television screens.
According to reports from local media outlets, both Camille Vasquez and Ben Chew recently appeared live across a series of media channels to give their opinions on some questions that had so many people still in wonder.
One of those questions was related to Johnny Depp waiving off the mega $8 million defamation charges that Amber Heard has reportedly been slapped with. And the answer is they’re not sure.
“We certainly cannot be revealing these types of discussions related to our client in public but one thing is for sure. Depp has always mentioned from day one that it has never been about money”- they tried to explain.
Another trending question of so many interviews was in regards to Amber Heard and her team labeling the trial and jury as tainted by various social media campaigns. And that’s when the duo said that there is absolutely zero truth in that.
They condemned the allegations and felt that the jury only took facts into consideration and nothing else.
There were plenty of facts that were pointing toward the truth. And that’s it, the lawyers added, slamming all the statements made by Amber Heard that the influence of social media really got the best of the jury.
“This is a jury we’re talking about, they’ve got no business being influenced by anything or anyone”- the lawyers concluded.
Depp’s lawyers say there was no role of social media in this, whatsoever, adding how the jury was presented with so much evidence from both sides. Both lawyers concluded by saying they’ve got immense respect for the court of law and the entire judiciary process, adding how they did the best that they could ever do.
