Julia Marie Gaiser, who won hearts and titles alike, has tragically lost her life in a horrifying road accident.

The world-famous figure skater was out cycling in Austria, and that’s when the fatal tragedy unfolded, leading to her death at 23. Fans are in shock after the news broke online, with many in a state of absolute shock and disbelief. ‘This is no age to go!’- another person mentioned. Reports claimed that the champion figure skater was hit by a lorry at the busy junction.

It is added that attempts were made to resuscitate Gaiser at the site of the crash. However, the young champion passed away at the scene.

Salzburg authorities opened an investigation after the incident took place last Thursday. The cops shared more about how the driver tested negative for alcohol at the scene. Mayor Andreas Jungman has paid tribute to the skater and sent his condolences to her family regarding this tragedy. He said, ‘I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Gaiser family!’ He called this a major loss, especially for the world of sport.
