The stars of 1000-lb Sisters are in a period of mourning after the loss of their cousin, Katie Slaton.
On Tuesday, Amanda Halterman, who is the sister of Tammy and Amy Slaton, shared on Instagram that their cousin Katie Slaton passed away the day before at 37, after being diagnosed with stage four cancer.
“It is with absolute grief and regret that we share this news. Our hearts are crushed, and we have no spirit left, but he has to post this. My little cousin passed away yesterday,” Amanda mentioned alongside an image of the pair.
She was said to be a force to be reckoned with and showed so much love that was accepting and given freely. She was the life of every party and my best friend, this post added.
“I know both of our grandparents and friends were there to welcome you home,” she mentioned. The star then requested that fans pray for their aunt, uncle, and cousins, but mostly for the babies and for Natalie to be strong during this difficult time.
