Thrill seekers were forced to walk down the massive 160-foot-high tracks of the country’s first tilt roller coaster when it broke down for the fourth time since it first opened last month.
On Tuesday, the Siren’s Curse, which is the latest attraction at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, came to a sudden stop at the top of the highest point.
The terrifying moment led to passengers rushing to evacuate forcefully amid the major malfunction. They could be seen in the latest video shared on X.
While some held on to the metal railing, those who had been on the coaster were seen slowly walking down the evacuation steps after exiting the cars. That walk down is definitely 10 times scarier than actually riding the ride. ‘I am so scared of heights so if this happened to me, my bones would have melted by now, and there would be nothing left of me but a blob of skin’- the frightened viewer shared on social media.
The sudden malfunction came right before the riders engaged in the famous tilting of the ride that entails dangling over the Midway.
A spokesperson shared how the delay was due to the coaster’s safety system.
