More than 140 people were reportedly ill while they were traveling on a Royal Caribbean International cruise.
Out of the 3914 passengers on that boat, the CDC shared in a state press release that 134 of them suffered from a gastrointestinal illness during the round trip from LA to Mexico.
At least 7 of the 1266 crew members also experienced symptoms related to the illness, which entailed diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and vomiting as per the CDC.
While the cause of this outbreak is currently unknown, the voyage started on July 4 and ended on July 11, which is the same day the sickness was reported.
