Dozens of people were seen riding a shuttle bus in Missouri that struck a ditch, causing them to suffer serious injuries.

At least 32 people were said to have been injured at about 10:45 am when the bus was driving on the state Highway 100 near Eagles Nest Drive in Gasconade County, which veered off the right side of the road.

The driver then overcorrected and drove off the left side of the road and into the ditch, as per the Missouri Highway Patrol.

All of those who got injured were adults between the ages of 27 to 68, according to the patrol records from the highway. Four of those suffering were said to have received the most devastating injuries, 11 were moderate, and 17 were more minor.

A 45-year-old man who was driving this shuttle bus, one of the four who were seriously wounded, was airlifted to a local hospital, as per records.

The state highway patrol is now carrying out more investigations to determine what exactly had taken place.

Records showed that 22 of the passengers were from Missouri and eight from Illinois, and one was from Kansas. The local fire department stated in their report that 41 people in total were onboard that bus.
