The incident took place after the government opted to reopen the educational institutions for the first time since the Taliban took power in the month of August last year.

Devastating images showed young students heartbroken over the sudden decision where they could be seen tearfully packing up their school supplies and belongings and making their way back home.

One teacher from the girls’ school revealed how she was shocked at the sudden announcement. In the same way, she shed light upon how hard it was for her to see the students crying as they were ever so reluctant to leave their classrooms.

“It’s so painful to see so many students crying. They enjoy coming to school, meeting their friends, and learning new things”- the teacher from Kabul explained.

This sudden decision to prevent the reopening of the schools seems to be a great concession made towards the intense ruling tribal backbone of the leading Taliban movement. And that’s because they are ever so reluctant to see young girls flourishing and hence are even reluctant to send them to school.

This is being looked upon as the latest setback for all girls’ education system in the country where the world community is publicly condemning the decision and urging all Taliban leaders to rethink their decision as many feel women have every right to enter the public space.
