JUST IN: Heartwarming Scenes Show Novak Djokovic Breaking Down Into Tears While Hugging His Daughter As He Wins The US Open For The FOURTH Time


Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic has just gotten the best treat after winning the US Open for the fourth time.

The news saw the star breaking down into tears as he made his way down to embrace his daughter. The star just couldn’t hold back his emotions during the later hours of Sunday night as this honor now makes him the oldest champion ever to get bestowed with this honor.

The Serbian, 36, won his first US Open title in five years when he saw off Daniil Medvedev in a very physically demanding and challenging ordeal. This pushed both males to their limits, even with straight sets outcome featuring a score of 6-3, 7-6, and 6-3.

This marks the 24th Grand Slam title of the superstar in his 36th final and that’s truly a milestone for Wimbledon. Similarly, this makes him move two Majors ahead of leading icon Rafael Nadal.

The tennis superstar even got emotional as he claimed this achievement means the world to him. In the same way, he told the crowds how his daughter was here to witness this historic moment and it was just wonderful as it added that special and memorable touch.

The star says he is currently living his childhood dream and that’s linked to the great competition seen in this sport at the top. “I never thought that I out of all people would be talking about 24 Slams but in the past few years, I knew I had a shot”- the star explained.

Novak then took a moment out to pay tribute to his late friend and LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant. He did that by wearing a Mamba Mentality shirt for the presentation.

“I thought of doing this shirt if I got the chance to win the tournament. I did not share this with anyone, Kobe was a dear friend and we also spoke about the mentality of winners”- he continued.

The tennis star even got emotional during this speech too, adding how the LA Lakers star was someone that he relied on so much. He used to be there for counseling purposes and support, the star went on to add.
