French President Emannuel Macron is not a happy man after shocking new footage has gone viral of him being shoved in the face by his wife.

The terrifying row between him and his wife was caught by cameras standing below after his jet touched down in Vietnam for a state visit.

The country’s head of state was seen shocked after his wife slams her hand into his face in what appears to be a failed attempt to give him a slap during a row.

The footage showed the First Lady appearing to push his face away from hers in an attempt to show her anger towards him.

The image was shot by the Associated Press news agency in Hanoi on Sunday evening, which shows the moment when the French President’s plane door opened for him to make his way down to meet the dignitaries stationed below.

His wife Brigitte’s arms then emerge from the left of the open doorway as she places both hands on her partner’s face and then gives it a shove.

Macron certainly appeared startled at what’s going on, as would anyone, but he does silently recover quickly and turns to wave through the open door.

His wife remained concealed this whole time by the aircraft’s body, making it impossible to see her expressions or body language at the time.
